Pre-Scan Guidelines:

  • Please complete and submit prior to your wellness scan the Participation Waiver (PDF) found within the Resources of www.inner-image.com.
  • Do not consume alcohol for 24 hours prior to your scan.
  • Do not perform strenuous exercise for 12 hours prior to your scan.
  • Do not eat for 4 hours prior to your scan.
  • Do not use hand creams or similar types of body lotions/ointments within 4 hours of your scan.
  • Do not drink caffeine on the day of/prior to your scan.
  • Do not consume diuretics on the day of/prior to your scan.
  • Do not take the scan if you have a fever, cold, or chill.
  • Do not take your scan immediately following a shower, steam, sauna, or bath.
  • Use the restroom, if necessary, prior to your scan.
  • Use of provided specialized tissue wipes immediately prior to your scan will increase electrical conductivity where the hand and feet electrodes make contact with the skin (without use of these tissues, it would be difficult for the electrical currents to flow through severe calluses or hard skin on the hands or bottom of the feet). These tissues also serve as an antibacterial wipe.
  • Females should avoid scheduling their scan during menstrual periods, as inaccurate results may be obtained due to subtle changes in hydration and body water levels.
  • Pregnant women are not recommended to take the scan due to the constant bodily fluctuations during pregnancy.
  • Those with pacemakers, defibrillators, or artificial electrical medical devices should not have this scan performed.
  • Ideally, subsequent visits should be scheduled under the same conditions (time of day, hydration levels, comparable clothing, etc.).
